The World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest is a four-day barbecue competition held in Memphis, TN.
Recognized by USAToday as the “Most Prestigious Barbecue Contest,” the Memphis in May World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest is a four-day competition held in Tom Lee Park on the banks of the Mississippi River in downtown Memphis, TN. Teams representing the best of barbecue that have been honing their craft for years compete for the title of World Champion and a share of the more than $115,000 in prize money. The Contest features championship pork categories of Ribs, Shoulder, and Whole Hog, as well as the ancillary competitions of Hot Wings, Sauce, and “Anything But Pork.”
Tickets will not be sold at the gate. Tickets are valid for specific day only.
Due to current health restrictions, capacity and the number of tickets available are VERY limited. COVID19 mandates will be enforced at the time of the event.

The event will take place rain or shine. No refunds will be issued.
