OAKLAND COUNTY, MI — Nearly 74,000 cases of the coronavirus have been confirmed in Oakland County, according to the most recent data released Monday by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.
State health officials reported 73,925 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 1,942 reported COVID-19 deaths Monday. The county also has reported 12,322 probable COVID-19 cases and 113 probable COVID-19 deaths, according to state data.
In all, Michigan reported that it had added 8,202 new cases of the coronavirus and eight COVID-19 deaths since Saturday. The new figures bring the state's COVID-19 totals to 660,771 confirmed coronavirus cases and 16,034 COVID-19 deaths, according to state figures.
Health officials reported on Saturday that 569,460 people in Michigan had recovered from the coronavirus as of Friday.
