The Livermore Area Recreation and Park District is seeking Recreation Leader I/II- Camp Counselors for Summer Nature Camp. The Recreation Leader I/II will be working with children ages 5-13 years old in an outdoor day camp setting. The camps cover a variety of different themes all involving nature exploration, crafts, and outdoor games. Schedule:  Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Start date: June 14, 2021 *Designation of Recreation Leader I or II will be dependent on experience. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Please submit a District application and resume online at https://www.calopps.org/livermore-area-recreation-and-park-district.  Applicants who do not submit all required documents may not be considered.   SELECTION PROCESS Based upon all submitted materials, the applicants presenting the best job-related qualifications will be invited to proceed in the recruitment process.  Recreation Leader I SUMMARY Under immediate supervision, performs routine support duties in support of recreational programs, events, and activities; prepares buildings, fields, and facilities for scheduled activities/events; performs recordkeeping and scorekeeping duties at sports events; provides routine administrative support; and performs related work as required.  QUALIFICATIONSEducation and Experience: High School Diploma or GED is desirable.No prior experience is required.  Recreation Leader II SUMMARY Under general supervision, performs support work related to recreational programs, events, and activities; provides instruction and conducts classes/activities for program participants under the guidance and direction of higher-level staff; prepares buildings, fields, and facilities for scheduled activities or events; provides routine administrative support; and performs related work as required. QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED is desirable.One year of relevant recreation program support experience.
