Job description The Legal Assistant will ensure smooth running of the office and effective case management by providing legal services and performing office administrative tasks under the supervision of attorneys, paralegals, and firm administration. This individual will communicate frequently with the clients in order to serve them adequately. This individual will also be primarily responsible for a variety of office administrative tasks such as ordering and organization of office supplies, handling mailings and other correspondence, file organization and maintenance, periodic court runs, and other related tasks as necessary. This candidate may be asked to conduct necessary case research and prepare summaries of key happenings in cases to aid the legal proceedings. This individual will often be the face of the firm as they will be asked to answer the main telephone line and interface directly with clients. Responsibilities: · Provide administrative support to attorneys and paralegals · Handle communication with clients, including intake of new clients · Assist with office administration tasks · Organize materials for litigation proceedings · Other administrative tasks as may be requested by supervising attorneys or paralegals Qualifications · Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience · Experience in legal assistance preferred · Strong oral and written communication skills Doyle Quane offers competitive compensation and benefits.
