Join us for a family friendly version of our plant preservation workshop! Make your own flower press to take home and learn to press flowers The Art of preserved flowers: Family Friendly Workshop (Afterschool!) 5/11 Tuesday, afterschool 5:00-6:15 p.m. $25.00 In this family friendly workshop, we’ll go over the art of plant preservation! Students will collect flowers to preserve, make their own flower press and create a piece of art using pressed materials! Learn why scientists use plant presses in the field, and learn to identify plants in your neighborhood to preserve. $25.00 per pair (parent & child), includes making your own flower press to take home, workshop and flower materials. We'll explore the garden to find flowers to press, and learn proper techniques! Children must be accompanied by an adult unless 13 years or older. A note about registration: Tickets are sold in pairs. Parents please purchase ONE ticket for yourself and child. If your family has 4 members, you will purchase 2 tickets. If your family has 6 members, you will purchase 3 tickets. Each child in your group will make 1 flower press with assistance by parents as needed.
