Press release from the City of Huntsville Parks & Recreation Department: 2021-03-29 The City of Huntsville's municipal offices and Municipal Court will be closed Friday, April 2, in observance of Good Friday. City offices will reopen at 8 a.m. Monday, April 5. Huntsville Transit will operate a normal schedule for both Orbit fixed-route buses and Access paratransit services. Huntsville Transit Because garbage collection occurs Monday-Thursday, there will be no change to service. Recycling will also not be affected. All Huntsville Parks & Recreation facilities are closed, except the Johnson Legacy Center, open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Huntsville Aquatics Center, which will be open the following hours: Huntsville Parks & Recreation Johnson Legacy Center All Parks & Recreation facilities will be closed Sunday, April 4, in observance of Easter.
