Teddy is a one year old, male, neutered shih tzu. He is very sweet and cuddly. Recently, his owner went into a retirement home, and we decided to take him in. Unfortunately, he does not seem to enjoy the constant hustle and bustle of our home. Generally speaking, he gets along fine with cats and dogs, as well as kids. We just have too many of all of those things. He needs to be in a home that is quieter. He is housebroken, and used to being home alone for hours and then being taken out for a walk. But, he also really likes to hang out with you all day. Shih Tzu's are a hypoallergenic breed, but they grow A LOT of fur, that needs constant upkeep. Teddy is no exception, and because of his slightly curly fur, he needs to visit the groomer quite often (about every 1.5 months) to keep him from getting matted. I HIGHLY suggest you know the breed before you consider taking him in. Because he has already gone through many transitions, we will be very discerning about who we will offer him to. Just because you come to meet him DOES NOT mean you will get to take him home. We really want to be sure Teddy is a good fit with his next family so that he can stay there for the rest of his life.
