JOB DESCRIPTION -Irrigator ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: ESSENTIAL SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS Move water as needed to irrigate tree crops and hay Install irrigation or sprinkler systems "Ability to communicate verbally and in writing Valid driver’s license/reliable transportation Handlers Card /willing to obtain a license " Test systems for potential issues "Ability to keep records and provide information to manager Ability to use smartphone technology " Evaluate winterization of each system "Farm/ orchard knowledge Drive to learn new tasks and ability to stay on task Ability to drive tractors and other machinery " Sprinkler valve repair Start frost water as needed. MACHINERY, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT AND PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT TRACTOR, SPREADERS, MOWERS, SMART PHONE, ATV Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic face coverings are required. Expectations Must complete all Employer safety training. Must be available to work up weekends Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions; wind, cold, heat, smoke, wet. Must be on time and ready to work at the scheduled time. Must be on call during frost season and irrigation season for potential issues
