Job Description Midwest Petroleum Equipment (www.mwpetroleum.com) Construction/Installation Team Member Pay Range: $16.00-22.00 per hour, commensurate with experience Location: Lincoln, NE The Midwest Petroleum Equipment team is rapidly expanding and is seeking skilled installers/laborers to join our construction and installation team as a licensed installer. MPE is a local leader in the petroleum equipment service and construction industry and is seeking candidates who want to work in a great team environment with professional growth opportunities. Responsibilities: • Assist in installing above- and underground petroleum tanks, piping, pumps, hoists, lifts and other petroleum and lubrication-related equipment • Measure, layout, hang, thread pipe, solder/braze pipe and set mechanical equipment • Operate various power tools, skid loaders, air compressors, forklifts, excavators and other related tools and equipment in performing described duties • Be willing to travel to out-of-town job sites and work outdoors Education, Experience and Qualifications: • Minimum of 1 year experience in general construction, plumbing, mechanical or underground utility related field • At least 1 year of experience with welding, fabricating and pipefitting preferred • Arc, mig and tig welding experience with various materials (preferably AWS certified) preferred • Be at least 21 years of age • High school diploma or GED. Additional training and certification provided • Valid and clean driver’s license • Able to pass background check and drug screening • Follow safety procedures diligently Technical Requirements: • Able to interpret blueprints, specifications, and other project documents • Able to perform manual construction work and equipment operations General: • Sound integrity and professional ethics • Ability to build relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and employees • Ability to multitask, prioritize and complete projects on time Hours: • This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday. Occasional overnight and out-of-town travel required.
