POSITION: Housekeeper/Janitorial SCHEDULE: Friday – Monday, 8:30am – 6:00pm STATUS: Fulltime, Non-Exempt REPORTS TO: Director or Maintenance Summary: The Housekeeper serves as a professional cleaning team member fulfilling full service cleaning within the designated areas of the interior mall and exterior storefront areas. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: • Cleaning of all mall areas including food court, floor care (hard surface, carpets and mats), restrooms, window cleaning, high and low dusting, sweeping, mopping, sanitizing surfaces, interior and exterior garbage can change outs, and interior and exterior trash and debris collection. • Report all work related accidents and incidents immediately to maintenance management. • Maintain equipment in good working condition or report damaged equipment to Housekeeping Lead. • Empty and Sanitize common area trash and as receptacles. • Assisting with inclement weather services to maintain safe and clear access to mall entrances including shoveling, applying ice melt and sweeping. • Operation of motorized floor equipment to include scrubber, polisher, and vacuum. • Set up and tear down of special events, promotions, and community activities. • Train new and existing staff members on housekeeping and janitorial tasks and duties. • Attend all staff meetings, in-service training and other company sponsored events as requested. • Report all housekeeping and maintenance concerns to Housekeeping lead or Maintenance Tech. • Report all chemical and consumables use to Housekeeping Lead as directed. • Ability to communicate with customers, employees and visitors on a daily basis for routine housekeeping concerns and general mall information and directions. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: • Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds. • Ability to be on feet all day and walking long distances. • Ability to work with chemicals and cleaning products. • Ability to operate commercial floor scrubber and floor polisher cleaning equipment. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: • Ability to speak, read and write in both English and Spanish is preferred. • Ability to operate a smart phone. • Have reliable transportation to and from work location. • Must submit and random illicit drug screening at management requests. • Ability to use Microsoft Outlook email. • Adherence to all company safety programs and policies.
