Description

Basic Function: Performs painting and wall repair to rooms and exterior of the property. Ensures the safety and comfort of the guests and employees. Work Performed: Handles painting and wall repair in all guest rooms and public areas. Keeps records on rooms and public area painting preventive maintenance. Uses Synergy to track and communicate. Makes rounds and identifies and tracks areas that need painting Fills out requisitions for ordering parts. Deal with various vendors for supplies. Keeps area in shop clean and organized. Trains and supervisors Painter's Assistant. Assist other engineering staff when needed. Help control expenses. Other duties as assigned. Responsibility & Authority: Ability to maintain a high level of guest service at all times in all guest services areas. Upholds the resort commitment to hospitality. Works closely with all departments to ensure guest service levels are being met. Ability to deal effectively with all departments with regular communication. Minimum Requirements: High school education or equivalent work experience. Formal training in painting desired. At least 2 years experience in painting and repairs. Prefer some experience in hotel/motel, high rise building or construction. Must have strong organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to perform and prioritize multiple tasks with ease. Computer skills required. Prefer prior supervisory skills. Strong guest and team member relations skills. Physical Requirements: 30% Sitting 70% walking, standing, climbing and bending Lifting/Carrying up to 50 lbs. Hearing and Manual dexterity Distance vision 1-3 feet Ability to work in all types of weather conditions Ability to drive golf cart or gator
