Yard Manager- Immediate Opening. Mulch manufacturing and supply company and wood recycling center looking for a yard manager to run facility. Front End Loader and Forklift experience necessary. Some duties are as follows: Bulk Material Loading: - Load proper quantity of correct material safely into semi trucks, dump trucks, pick up trucks, and trailers - Understand truck loads limits and loader bucket yardage - Verify load tickets vs orders - Effective Communication Customers Maintenance of Yard Equipment- light mechanical duties such as changing filters, oil changes, and lubricants. Also requires preparing colorant for use, cleaning and maintaining colorizer machine and changing grates in grinder. Maintenance of Loaders, Forklifts, and all other mechanical equipment in yard. Maintenance of Facility- keep yard clean and organized in all areas of use, ensuring all areas are free to navigate and free from trash and debris. Inspection of Wood Waste- with the assistance of a yard helper, ensuring all loads being received at facility are free from any debris including garbage, metal, dirt, rocks etc. Receiving- Unload all incoming shipments safely and efficiently. Understand procedure when shipments do not match order. Distribute all daily load sheets and driver tins into the proper vehicles. Effective communication with office. Physical Requirements: Require moving one’s whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and repeatedly bending where the activities often also require considerable use of arms and legs in the handling of material. Outside work with regular exposure to outside weather conditions. Skills & Abilities: Front End Loader and Forklift Experience necessary. Ability to problem solve and take initiative. Ability to use tools such as electric drill, hammer, etc. Valid Drivers License required. Pay Rate- Starting at $25/hr and up dependent on experience.
