Okay, here is what I've got...looking to put together a group to make some cool music. Or just jam. Or just work out some ideas together. Or whatever.
Here's my deal:
Kinda love the bluegrass...great harmonies, easy chord progressions, fun to play and sing. Particularly dig jamgrass.
I don't hate the 80's hair metal scene...I don't love the posers, but there is some interesting stuff out there.
I have been caught listening to some post-rock stuff...EitS, This Will Destroy You, Russian Circles.
Love, love, love me some alt-country...Uncle Tupelo and Son Volt, Whiskeytown, (stay with me on this) very early REM sounds very alt-country to me.
I don't hate punk rock, singer songwriters don't make me vomit, and I have been known to chill with some old time and Irish music.
I play some banjo, a bit more rhythm guitar (electric or acoustic), more mandolin, but I mostly fiddle these days. Can sing, but these harmonies don't work if you're solo.
I have a practice space we can play in.
I don't have a lot of hangups. I like what I like, but I'll try 'most anything. If you don't dig it, that's cool. There must be someone out there who's willing to give it a shot.
Let's work something out...might be cool.
