Description
I need to rehome my husky mix named Prissy. I got her right when the pandemic hit. Literally the weekend everything shut down. We live in New Mexico and it was locked down hard. There was no going places, seeing people, parks were shut down. (Just so we are clear, I'm from here. That way no one thinks I'm on vacation and just didn't want my dog suddenly.) She was adopted March 13 last year and she was probably 6 weeks old then. So right around a year. The shelter had her and her siblings listed as shepherd mixes. The vet listed her as a husky mix. Fixed and microchipped. 50 lbs. She does great with kids. Some times she may not know how big she is with kids if she's in a very excited mood. I have a 5 and 1 yr old. Shes been around the 1 yr old since she was a baby. Lack of socialization during the pandemic is an issue. She is also an alpha female I believe. I have an almost 8 year old full blood German shepherd. Hes oversized for his breed but follows her lead. I think she would do okay with other dogs who aren't alpha or territorial as long as there is a very good buffer period. It may take a few days to really adjust and you need to be prepared for it not to be an immediate thing. No cats or farm animals. Shes been around a foster kitten once at 6 months old and was just really interested in her running. I basically can't tell you for sure that she wont try to play with them as toys. Needs a tall fenced yard with room to run. She runs so fast and absolutely loves to run. Her favorite this is playing in the water. I need to find her a home where she can play, be free, and love all over her. I will not let her just go to anyone.
