I have a addition that was added to the house many years ago that floods from time to time. I am looking to build out a floor on top of the existing concrete slap to raise it up roughly 8-10 inches to prevent future flood damage. The house is wood frame so this should be pretty straight forward. The rafters will run about 8 feet out from the main house and connect to the adjacent wall.
