Hi, We are a family of 5. Husband and wife, with 3 kids. Ages 12, 5, and 2.5. We have owned pets for many years. We haven’t had a dog since we lost our 2.5yr boy 3 yrs ago from a hit and run. 😭 We also had our cat of 6yrs. We just lost him a few months ago due to his diabetes. Which was a long battle that ultimately took his life. We live in a 3 bedroom duplex, and have a fully fenced yard that locks. With high fence. We have discussed that we have been finally emotionally ready to look for a new addition to our family. We won’t be having anymore kids, as I can no longer have children. And my kids are absolutely AMAZING with animals. As I used to work for the humane society for awhile, and we fostered awhile ago. Well that time has come. But since it’s been yrs since we have had a dog, man have the adoption rates gone up ALOT! Which is so understanding considering there is just awful people out there! I have witnessed first hand these sad stories when working at the humane society. Currently I work from home, I own a small candle business, and hubby has been furloughed awaiting to go back. So we have ALOT of time on our hands lol. And constantly home. We are super active out door family. We going camping many times through the year, parks, hikes, fishing year round. We have 3 boys so they live for outside. We know getting a animal is not because “oh they look so cute” thing. All our pets have been long term and moved with us if we moved. Even the hamster lol. I am a child abuse survivor, and after 14yrs breaking my silence and making my police reports. It has been a long past few months and very emotionally hard. I have been in therapy and after discussing awhile with my therapist we also both feel a therapy animal would be a great time for our families healing. We can pay a rehoming fee, we just can’t afford a crazy amount that a lot of breeders charge. If puppy needs his/her shots that is fine, we can administer ourselves from local feed store. And take to get microchip and fixed. Please let me know if you have a puppy that feel would be a great fit for our family. Thank you!
