I’ve been fostering a momma rat and her FIFTEEN!!! babies since a few days before their eyes opened. There are 8 boys and 7 girls, about 5.5 weeks old. Rats are social creatures so please if you don’t have one already, get at least a same sex-pair. I don’t recommend breeding these guys as we don’t know their lineage. I will be asking for photos of a setup you have ready for them. The photos are all recents of the babies. I just separated them all today by gender and from mom. I’m working on socializing them but they’re still pretty skittish, but love treats and are super curious. Last pic is of momma who they all look like. $10 each or $15 for two.
