Description

I am looking to rehome my female betta. The pictures don't do her justice, because she's so active. She is a gorgeous purple color with red highlights on her body and blue on her fins. She comes with a nearly-full package of betta food, java fern, another plant I don't know the name of (looks kind of like lettuce), and black sand. I'll include some of her current gravel and water in a big bag so that you will have all the good bacteria you need to start the tank. She also comes with 5-gallon aquarium, a thermometer, a heater pre-set to 78 degrees, a hood with light. I'm including an LED lightbulb, but it's too big for the hood -- it will get you started but you will definitely want to order a different one. If you want to splurge the one that has worked best is the Aqueon 50/50 6" 10 watt light with daylight and bluelight. That lighting combo also makes the betta look particularly stunning. All you will need to provide is a filter (I recommend the Tetra Whisper 3i or 1-4 (up to 4 gallons), which costs $11 at Walmart currently, because the flow rate is low enough for the betta's fins). No matter what websites tell you, bettas cannot be kept healthy without a filter. So the rehoming fee is $25, or $15 if you show me evidence that you own a suitable filter or a screenshot that you've ordered one. Email responses will be taken all week, not first-come/first-served, because I realize it takes time to order a filter and set up a tank. Thank you, Laura
