Description
As a child I studied under Bob Dylan from 1988 - 1995, between 2 and 4 hours per day, daily, rhyming lyrics that didn't match and putting together difficult verses.
In 1990, I got together with the boy band The Backstreet Boys online and started writing lyrics for them regularly, with the understanding that I would eventually be added as a formal lyricist once I finished my studies under Bob Dylan. However, that changed.
In 1991, I started writing lyrics for the singer Eminem, to help him out of his financial crisis, I had hoped to one day marry him, but then he turned out to be sub-standard and 'not appropriate' for a girl such as myself.
1993, I quit The Backstreet Boys with a broken heart at the age of 13 because they're manager decided to promote himself as their lyricist instead. Totally broke my heart and so I decided the best thing to do was to stop writing for them.
1995, formed a new band which I named 'Nickelback' out of Canadian singer and guitarists. As far as I know they're still 'with' me.
Present Day, I could write for hours about all of my bands but I thought I'd keep it down to 'just a few' I just turned 40 years old last month. But, writing alone does get kind of dull, and I thought I'd try to form a local band as well as maintaining my writings for multiple bands as I work on my first actual publication. I haven't decided whether to go with US Copyright and a published book on Amazon, or songbay.co as a final direction for my lyrics. Eh either way ya know?
Sincerely,
Diana C Smith
