Description

Anybody out there interested in more jams and fewer pissing contests and lectures on Craigslist? I've been in love with music since before I can remember. Seeking folks who want to do some playing, improvising, song-writing, music theory teaching and learning, arranging, and/or recording with others. In the past, this has worked well with people who are: full grown'd, creative, intelligent, compassionate, more pro-social than selfish, capable of critical analysis and self-reflexivity, willing to sweat, and personally interested in working towards genuine freedom, equality and independence (i.e. NOT the kind marketed on Fox Noose, paraded on pick-up truck flags, or any of their more flagrantly propagandizing ilk); people who are looking for some catharsis, to participate in a meaningful conversation, to share moments of musical expression and the vulnerability it can entail, and to create something decent to put out into the world. for context, here are some fave album selections: Funkadelic - Maggot Brain, the Allman Bros. Band - Live at the Fillmore, Santana - S/T, Toe - The book about my idle plot on a vague anxiety, D'Angelo - Black Messiah, Michael Kiwanuka - Kiwanuka, Prince - Purple Rain (and 1999), Sleep - Holy Mountain, Pearl Jam - Ten, Rage Against the Machine - S/T, Nine Inch Nails - Pretty Hate Machine, Red Hot Chili Peppers - Blood Sugar Sex Magik, Digable Planets - Reachin' (A New Refutation of Time and Space), Tool - Aenima, Lake Trout - Alone At Last, Bill Hicks - Rant in E Minor, Marvin Gaye - What's Going On Here are some examples of soundscapes (primarily loop-based gear tests) I've built along the way: https://bewildernis.bandcamp.com/ https://www.reverbnation.com/bewildernis https://soundcloud.com/bewildernis I've recently got my first Moderna shot, will get the 2nd jab in the coming weeks, and should be fully immunized from the 'wild' variant by the end of April. Seeking folks who care enough about the people in their community to take responsible COVID precautions until this roller coaster of a global pandemic grinds to a slow trickle. If you're looking to cultivate some funky, psychedelic, emotive and gritty sounds, I hope we might connect soon. Best, metaprod.org
