Join us for the first annual Ward 8 Woods Spring Hike as we explore the rarely visited areas of Ft. Stanton Park. Most visitors to Ft. Stanton travel on the Ft. Circle Hiker Biker Trail that runs along the east side of the park, but it is in the trailess western side where you'll find the remains of the original earthworks, wide-open upland forests, and spectacular views of the city. This two hour hike will be guided by Ward 8 Woods founder Nathan Harrington and will cover about two miles. The first half of the hike will be bushwhacking, so be prepared for steep hills, mud, and thorns.
