Help us plant shrubs and trees at Third Ward Park along McDonalds Brook! Trees are very important for ecosystem health! This Roots for River project focuses on planting trees as a riparian buffer. The trees will help with restoration and help prevent flooding within the city.Parking will be reserved on Passaic Avenue, between the park and ball field. We will meet at the boathouse, by the middle of the lake. Please wear a mask, dress appropriately with work boots and bring water. The boathouse cafe is open for purchasing food and drinks as well. If you have your own gloves and/or shovel, we welcome you to bring your own, although loaner tools and gloves will be available.
