Hi!
I’m a 51 year-old white male and I’ve been playing in bands since I was 16. I mostly play guitar but I can play drums, percussion, bass, a little keys and on a good day I can sing. I’m mostly interested in playing guitar, and I’d like to meet up with musicians who play any instrument, and especially a singer/songwriter.
My influences are many and varied, but right now I’d like to put together a project in the general style of the Velvet Underground, or the Cowboy Junkies, or Mazzy Star, or Feist, or Lucy Dacus. Just as a rough target. I like the music I’m involved with to feel eclectic and genuine.
Here is my band from the 90’s. https://youtu.be/GJ_0CXWNxUQ
Here is a solo instrumental album I released last year.

I have gear and transportation. I don’t have a practice space. I could say that I prescribe to the usual no’s: Junkies, flunkies, users, losers, or eternal children but instead I’ll say this: I’m 51 and I have the life experiences to back it up. While I understand that musicians are by their very nature an interesting and colorful bunch, I expect the people I play with to bring a similar level of maturity with them and leave any disfunction outside the practice room door.
The most important thing I seek in a musical project is to have fun and get along. I’ve long ago lost any aspirations to hit it big and my tolerance for late nights and long drives is low. I hope you have a similar mentality, and I look forward to making interesting, genuine, eclectic, sonically deep music with you.
