Looking for a Bass Player to Complete Our Original Band
Meets
Phoenixville PA
Description
We are an original group who have been getting together over the last year to write and record our debut album. We have a very talented singer/songwriter who plays acoustic rhythm guitar, an incredible electric guitarist, and dynamic drummer and the 3 of us have a really special connection musically where we love spontaneity, exploring ideas, and recording/creating. For the album, we have been working with a studio bass player who has tracked the initial tracks, but we are looking to start playing live and want to add that piece at this time so that we can play out and so that we can start working up new original material with a bass player who is local to the area. Our Singer & Guitarist are located near Reading and our drummer and studio where we've done a lot of our work are located in the Phoenixville/Kimberton area. What we're Looking for: We're looking for a talented and reliable bass player to join our group and to support us in live performances as well as to work together on new material for future recordings. We will likely get to a place where we try to rehearse 1x per week or 1x every other week and while we want to play out, we will likely limit playing out to 1-2x's per month, at least initially. We need a bass player that can play by ear, that can react and move with a band that wants to move in different directions on stage and during recordings, we need a player that's comfortable recording & recording to a click track. Our music covers a range of styles (blues, folk, Americana, rock, etc) and you can hear snippets of our music at the link below: https://soundcloud.com/snarebuzz-studios/sets/ty-faherty-album-preview If this sounds like a good fit for you, please reach out by email and let us know about yourself. We'd love to hear your experience, recordings or videos of your playing (if available), and a bit about what you're interested in. We are hoping to host auditions soon and have our first live performance towards the end of May.
