Press release from City of Beverly: March 26, 2021 Nomination papers for this fall's municipal elections will be available at the City Clerk's Office starting Monday, April 5. The positions up for election are Mayor, City Councilors (3 at-large seats, 6 ward seats), and School Committee members (6 ward seats). Any registered voter interested in running for municipal office should come to the City Clerk's Office to sign a written statement and pick up nomination papers. Nomination papers with signatures of registered Beverly voters should be returned for certification to the City Clerk's Office no later than 5:00pm on Tuesday, August 10. Ward positions require a minimum of 50 certified signatures, and citywide positions require a minimum of 100 certified signatures.
