Florida is allowing everyone 40 and up to get the covid vaccine starting monday, March 29th. You can learn more at the Manatee County Health Department website: https://www.mymanatee.org/departments/public_safety/coronavirus_information/covid-19_vaccine There are links to the sites for you to register directly at a Publix, Winn-Dixie, CVS, etc. or you can go to any of those store websites directly for more info. There is also an on-call registration feature that puts you in the pool to get a same day call for a covid shot. Call 311 in Manatee County for more info or it is available on the website for the Manatee County Health Dept. These shots are at no cost to you whether or not you have insurance. FREE! Please, please get your vaccine as soon as you are eligible. I had my first dose of the Pfizer vaccine yesterday and the side effect was a little bit of arm soreness later in the day, nothing today. It is 'no big deal' of a shot, but it will get us all out of this situation much faster the more of us who get the vaccine and get toward a state wide immunity.
