"Remnants & Rudiments," on Saturday, April 3 at 6 pm PDT. an collaboration of poetry and music Alternating Currents' next event is "Remnants & Rudiments," on Saturday, April 3 at 6 pm PDT. The performance, an amalgam of poetry and music features Maw Shein Win's poetry and the music of Dan Plonsey (wind instruments) and Thomas Scandura (percussion). The poetry was written during the pandemic reflecting on the fractured nature of thoughts and random revelations during lockdown. The music is a mixture of composition and improvisation based on the 13 Essential Drum Rudiments. Like all Alternating Currents shows, "Remnants & Rudiments" is free. Due to Covid-19 restrictions and a commitment to ensuring the health and safety of performers and audience members, this will be a ticketed event restricted to 40 people or pods.
