Description

Saturday, April 3rd is Weed Out Hate Day! Let's stand in solidarity from various sides of the political and racial divides! Dear Friends/Acquaintances, Are you tired of the rising polarization and violence in our country and the San Diego community? Do you wish there was something small you could do to help our communities heal and forge a better future? In light of the tragic rise in hate crimes and increased polarization and violence in our communities, I'd love to invite you to join me in a community building circle in observance of Weed Out Hate Day on April 3rd 2021 (http://www.weedouthate.org/). As you may know, I love building bridges and helping people and communities find common ground and see the world through others' eyes and expand our empathy. So, I am inviting a few friends from different sides of the political and racial divide to have an enriching intimate discussion on ways to weed out hate in our communities; building bridges and meaningful connections that may grow and lead to positive transformation of individuals and communities in the long-run. Standing in solidarity and cultivating a culture of weeding out hate in our communities (the difference between rooting weeds and promoting lifelong habits of weeding out hate). How can we transform inner weeds into nurturing trees and help each other learn and grow? If you want to build bridges and help each other cultivate empathy, in our highly polarized society, please join us! All opinions are welcome! We only encourage you to come with an open mind and listen and share respectfully. Food - Discussion - Special Performance by The Black Country Girl - Discussion and hangout/line dance/whatever :) Enjoy, Share, Learn, Think, Grow!!! Finger foods/snacks and non-alcoholic beverages/water will be provided, but if you'd like to bring one of your favorite dishes, snacks, or non-alcoholic drinks, please feel free. Location - West Hills Park - Hilltop: It has a covered gazebo and benches, but if you want to bring your own seats in case we decide to sit or gather on the grass, that's ok. Directions: See blue outline in attached map. PS: This is FREE and entirely self-funded. Donations of any amount will be appreciated. :) Thank you! Setche.
