Have you ever wondered how they wrote letters in the past? Most people are familiar with the feather quill, bamboo pen. or charcoal pencil?
In this class, we explore the history of writing utensils and learn to craft our own.
This is the third part of our ongoing Book Series, though it is not necessary to have taken the last classes. Previously, we made paper and ink, now we will make a way to write.
Minors are welcome to attend, though they must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. Not recommended for children under 10 years of age.
Guests are asked to be on time for events.
MakerSpace Charlotte dues-paying members can check their email for a monthly Access Code to unlock member discounts on Eventbrite during checkout.
Face coverings are required. Masks must cover nose and mouth, as mandated in NC. Hand sanitizer and bathrooms are available for hand washing during the event. Guests will be asked to maintain social distance during the class.
MakerSpace Charlotte is located in the brick side door, up the ramp. Ring bell for entry.
