Speak Ya Peace: The mission of Speak Ya Peace North Carolina is to reach hearts, minds, and create effective dialogue within our community through Artful interpretation; one piece at a time. Speak Ya Peace is a safe space where artist, poets, writers, musicians, singers, comedians, dancers, mimes, visual artist, and all who have a message can be vulnerable, and supported. Art is a discipline that has the ability to teach, heal and connect. The beauty to Speak Ya Peace involves transparency, and an openness to creativity. Speaking Ya Peace on issues that marginalize, and effect members of our society allows the Artist, and audience to see life from another creator's point of view. Speak Ya Peace about love, disappointment, and new beginnings. We all share similar experiences, and through Art we can build a bridge of understanding. We were born to create, and all of us have the gift of expression. Lead with understanding.
