A benefit concert with proceeds going to the DOVE Center of St. George.
Black Sabbatical is a rock cover band based in St. George, Utah made up of Dixie State University (DSU) faculty. This concert will be an after-party event for the 5th Annual Regional Symposium for Research, Innovation, and Creativity at Dixie State University. The proceeds from the concert will benefit the DOVE Center.
The DOVE Center is a non-profit organization based in St. George, Utah with a mission of empowering those impacted by domestic abuse and sexual violence.
The doors will be open from 5:45-6:30 PM. Music will start 6:30 PM.

Merril Campbell is an adventurer and entrepreneur. He sings and plays guitar for Black Sabbatical.
Janet Walker has been an advisor at DSU for many years, and has helped thousands of students achieve their life goals. She plays lead tambourine and vocals for Black Sabbatical, and has been known to belt out wails like a gospel singer!
Curt Walker has a PhD in Zoology, and does research in Zion National Park studying canyon tree frogs in the summer. The rest of the year, he teaches biology at DSU, and plays lead guitar in Black Sabbatical.
Rico del Sesto has a PhD in Chemistry, and worked for a decade at Los Alamos doing research. Today he chairs the chemistry department at DSU and plays bass, finishing the rhythm section in Black Sabbatical.
Jerry Harris has a PhD from the University of Pennsylvania, and now works at DSU as a geologist and paleontologist. He's an actor, comedian, and a great drummer!
