Description
Do you need help with injured or orphaned wildlife? If so please call or text for a quicker response if you need resources or transportation. Please Keep in mind that not every baby animal is in need of being rescued. If you find a very tiny baby bunny it has most likely left the nest and the mother returns at night to feed them or if you find a baby deer fawn laying down curled up, it is just waiting on it’s mother to return. West Virginia state laws prohibit any type of rehabilitation for a baby deer so if you contact the department of natural resources and they find out you have touched/ or have it in your it they will destroy it. Please do not attempt to keep any baby wild animal you have found as a pet. If you come across a mammal that is younger than six weeks old other than a fawn or rabbit such as Squirrel, possums, raccoons, fox kits, coyotes, bob cats, weasels/minks, skunks ext please call immediately. If you come across a baby bird or raptor that is fully feathered it is most likely a fledgling and the parents are nearby If you find a baby Bird or raptor that still has down feathers such as a hawk, Eagle, owl, vulture, heron ext please call immediately.
