“Creating Space Within” is a 6 day customized intensive guiding men with intimacy disorders Enhance your tools and learn how to regulate more effectively. "Creating Space Within" is a 6-day entirely customized intensive guiding men to focus on intimacy disorders and your unique situation. The treatment team will collaborate with your current primary therapist to assess focus areas and coordinate continuation of care. The 6-day program will include:- Dr. Carnes’ 30 Task Model Group: Each participant will complete an assignment based on their current program under consultation with the home therapist. - Experiential Group: Each participant will act in their own psychodrama working through the different factors or co-occurring addictions associated with their intimacy disorder. - Safe and Sound Protocol developed by Dr. Stephen Porges: five day, one hour per day auditory intervention. Two additional days are added to the beginning and end of the listening program for preparation and integration. The protocol also includes elements of expressive art therapy to further enhance the effectiveness of the listening program. - Yoga with intention setting, meditation, practice, and a nature focused mindfulness experiential - Brain mapping: method of measuring electrical patterns via the scalp which reflect brain activity, referred to as "brain waves". This powerful EEG technology allows a visual of brain activity in high definition, 2-D or 3-D, color images. - Individual Trauma sessions All information gathered during the week will be summarized and communicated with any support staff after completing the intensive. *As part of the intensive, all participants are expected to stay at Saguaro Recovery to allow for more support, bonding, accountability, food and transportation. A fee of $2,000 not associated with the intensive will be paid directly to Saguaro Recovery for a check-in on 6/6/21 and check-out on 6/12/21. Space is limited to ensure each participant gets the support they need.
