As we expand into Comedy nights, Weddings, Bridal Showers and Outdoor Events, your the missing piece to manage entertainment for Averill House Vineyard. You ensure guests feel valued and unique, and leave them with an enthusiastic, memorable impression of Averill House Vineyard and Brookline, NH. Responsibilities: Responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to, the following: • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging guest service • Anticipate guest needs, follow-up on requests, and ensure 100% satisfaction • Ensure the safety and well-being of guests and colleagues by maintaining and upholding safety procedures • Maintain excellent communication and relationships with area facilities and personnel • Maintain excellent knowledge of Brookline, NH and Averill House Vineyard, local facilities and products, restaurants, attractions, events, history, etc. • Maintain accurate Event records • Collect guest payments • Work shifts as business levels dictate, including weekends and holidays • Comply with all safety regulations of assigned tasks, and ensure a clean and safe working environment • Adhere to all environmental policies and programs as required • Other duties that relate to running a tasting room and managing associates Requirements: • Must be 21 or older • Proficiency in English (verbal and written), second language(s) an asset • Minimum TWO years’ guest service experience • Previous experience in the bridal or wine industry an asset but not necessary • Wine-related education/certification an asset (WSET preferred) • High School Diploma an asset • Customer Retention Software knowledge an asset • Social media management experience an asset • Excellent oral communication skills • Well-organized, positive, and self-motivated Tasting Room Event Manager must be qualified by New Hampshire guidelines and will be aware of the Physical Aspects of Position (included but are not limited to). : • Frequent standing and walking • Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting • Occasional ascending or descending stairs and ramps • Occasional heavy lifting (50 lb maximum) Schedule: You must be available during Averill House Vineyard opening hours. Averill House Vineyard will post hours two weeks ahead. You will be expected to be available during those hours. Objective of Averill House Vineyard Tasting Room Event Manager: Events provide exceptional personal experiences and we strive to be the premier event destination in Brookline for visitors and residents. We look to offer unique fun, friendly, informative, and memorable custom wine events. We search for Independent thinkers that will educate our guests by continually enhancing their experiences, and by developing and maintaining strong relationships with them and event partners. We currently hold over forty events a year and are developing our wedding venue. In addition to co-managing the tasting room and events you will be key in developing a solid Bridal business as well as continued programs with Andre Art Institute, Cozy Tea Cart and local businesses and tour groups.
