Dead Body Found Near LA County's Haines Canyon

SUNLAND-TUJUNGA, CA — A dead body was discovered Sunday morning in a remote area of Haines Canyon, fire officials said. Helicopter crews were deployed by the Los Angeles Fire Department to retrieve the body so that a coroner can access them, the department said. The canyon is a hiking area located on the fringe of Los Angeles in the Angeles National Forest and near the Sunland-Tujunga neighborhood. No other information was available.
