These workshops will explore how yoga developed over the centuries and has lead to deep experiential knowledge and self-transformation. Each of the workshops/courses may be taken to deepen your knowledge and love of yoga, as a yoga instructor for Yoga Alliance CEU credits OR in partial satisfaction of the RYT200 requirements for certification at Pineapple Yoga Studio. Feb 28 Introduction to Asana, Pranayama & Meditation Explore key concepts in the practice of yoga. March 28 Introduction to Key Yoga Texts Yoga Sutras, Bhagavad Gita, Upanishads, Yoga Pradipika April 25 Introduction to Yoga Ethics Patanjali's Yamas & Niyamas May 30 Introduction to Yoga Anatomy Major Bones and Skeletal Systems June 27 Introduction to Joints in Yoga Practice Joint Movement and Stabilization for Optimized Yoga practice. July 25 Introduction to Respiratory System in Yoga Practice Key Muscles and the mechanics of breathing. August 29 Introduction to Adaptive Yoga Practice and Safety Proper Prop use and creative ways to adjust a practice for all levels and abilities. September 26 Introduction to Pranayama Practice Ujjayi (Victorious Breath), Nadi Shodhana (Alternate Nose Breathing), Kapalabhati (Skull Shining Breath) October 31 Introduction to Meditation Styles and methods.
