The Arts & Science Center's Second Saturday Family FunDay is a free monthly event that is themed around arts and science. The Arts & Science Center will host its FREE Second Saturday Family FunDay community event, May 8, 1–3 p.m. Fashion your own adorable “No-Sew Sock Animals” here at ASC. This amazingly simple craft is a fun art activity that will entertain visitors of all ages. ASC will continue to provide free “take & make” kits at its main entrance for those wishing to participate from home. Pick a few up from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, May 7, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 8. An instructional video will be posted at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 8, on ASC’s Facebook page, facebook.com/asc701/. This program offers monthly hands-on arts and science activities in which visitors create art, complete science projects, or perform dance, music, or theater. Activities complement current art or science exhibitions and are led by visiting artists, local art educators, and ASC staff.
