The Entrepreneurs Organization Long Island Chapter (EO-LI) hosted Congressman Andrew Garbarino (R-NY2) as part of its “Conversations with Elected Leaders” series. These events bring together elected leaders with many of Long Island’s leading entrepreneurs for open and frank conversations. Congressman Garbarino said, “I enjoyed the conversation because these are the people creating jobs and driving innovations on Long Island.” Congressman Garbarino serves on the Homeland Security and Small Business Committees giving him an important voice on national issues and the issues that concern Long Islanders. Mark X. Cronin, Communications Chair and Co-Founder of John’s Crazy Socks moderated the conversation. “We hold these conversations via Zoom, and they allow for a free flow of ideas and questions so we can learn more from our elected leaders and they can learn more about our businesses and what issues entrepreneurs face on Long Island.” Congressman Tom Suozzi (D-NY3) already met with the group and future sessions will include not only Federal representatives, but leaders from State and local government. EO-Long Island President and President of Arrow Security, A.J. Caro said, “it is important that we learn from our elected officials and that they hear our issues and concerns. We also want them to know how we can help.” Steve Distante, a founding member of EO-Long Island and Chairman of the Vanderbilt Financial Group said, “As entrepreneurs, we are interested in having an impact and solving problems. Entrepreneurs help drive innovation, so it is important that we have an ongoing dialogue with our elected leaders.” Ted Panebianco, an EO-LI member and Founder and President of College Hunks Hauling Junk and College Hunks Moving-Long Island, said, “Events like this are why I joined EO-Long Island. They educate me and inspire me.” The Long Island Chapter of the Entrepreneur’s Organization The Entrepreneurs' Organization (EO) is a dynamic, global network of more than 13,000 business owners in 40 countries.
