TUSCALOOSA, AL — A Tuscaloosa teenager was killed in a single-vehicle crash shortly after midnight Sunday morning, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency says.

ALEA Public Information Officer Senior Trooper Reginal King says the wreck occurred approximately 11 miles east of Tuscaloosa at 12:08 a.m. Sunday when the 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by the teenager left the roadway and struck a ditch on U.S. Highway 82 near the 66 mile marker.
The teenager's identity has not been released.
King said the teen was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle, before being pronounced deceased at the scene.
He then said the wreck remains under investigation by ALEA's Highway Patrol Division.
