$500 Hiring Bonus!* Will Train! Natural Insect Protection Specialist- technician servicing central mass/metro west area. 25-40 hours per week; flexible scheduling available (company & employee); March through November. Schedule- Monday through Friday; occasional Saturdays; hours can be worked between 7:30 am - 6:00 p.m. dependent on weather/schedule. Daily Job Requirements: - Offer exceptional customer service - Set-up and break-down company vehicle for service daily - Communicate with customers- announce arrival/departure times; review possible concerns - Communicate with management- issues, questions, concerns & start and end of day briefings Safely: - Drive to and between customer properties in company vehicle - Measure and prepare products in preparation for application - Apply natural insecticides to property perimeters, lawns & structures safely - Apply chemical insecticides to assist only with infestations, if necessary (must be state licensed) - Diagnose and address possible areas of concern on customer properties - Recognize & offer customized solutions to fit customer needs - Log each application and outcomes using company software - Identify opportunities to sell services to neighbors (possible interaction or door hanging in service area) Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent (GED) - Reliable transportation to and from Shrewsbury, MA - Valid MA driver's license - Clean driving record - Strong written and oral communication skills - Comfortable with exposure to: Nature (insects, animals, etc. great if you love the outdoors!) - Noise, dust, pollen, pesticides, oil, gas Ability to: - Attain Massachusetts Pesticide Applicator License during first year of employment/maintain certification thereafter (company paid) - Work outdoors with varying temperatures and conditions - Work a flexible schedule that varies from day to day (weather dictates schedule) - Walk long distances - Wear a 25lb backpack sprayer - Move, lift, or carry up to 50 lbs. - Start and operate small engines (some mechanical aptitude) - Read labels, training materials and written guidelines in English - Use basic math skills - Utilize cell phone, tablet, navigation, and pest control software (computer aptitude) - Work independently and manage time - Problem solve Compensation: - Competitive hourly pay: $18-20 per hour Paid: - On the job training - Time off - Sales commission - License training for MA State Pesticide License - State license renewals, crediting and ongoing education - Uniforms/PPE * $500 bonus paid after 90 days employment
