Description

German shepherd in need of new home. Please read this ad before responding. Cooper is 4-5 year old german shepherd that is a one person dog. He doesn't like too many people or other pets. We fostered and then adopted Cooper and he instantly attached himself to my son, who is leaving for college in May. He's a pretty dog, but we've found him to be unpredictable and uses his own fear to be a pretty scary 100lb dog. Since we adopted him, we really don't have any back history on him. The way he acts on a leash and some of the aggressive moves he makes, it feels like he has been trained with a purpose. If you have kids, have other pets, are in anyway scared of dogs, this is not your dog. You set the tone and be alpha, he will follow. We are unable to keep him, since he doesn't get along with other humans in our household and he cannot go away to college with my son. We've tried the rescue route and don't want to put him in a shelter for fear he will be destroyed, or adopted put to unknowing family, where someone will get hurt. We'd like to find someone who has managed shepherds before and understands the challenges of managing this type of dog. Please message me with any questions. I've been searching for a solution.
