Job Description Groundskeeper/Landscaper Full-Time: wages DOE Availability: must be able to work weekdays and some weekends Work Location: Abernethy Center 606 15th Street Oregon City Duties & responsibilities Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards: • Mowing, edging and fertilizing lawns • Weeding and mulching landscape beds • Trimming small trees, hedges and shrubs • Removing unwanted, dead or damaged plants • Watering, monitoring and maintaining plant health, and landscapes Performance Requirements • Bend, squat, reach and retrieve items from above head • Lift, push, pull and carry up to 75lbs • Manage multiple tasks at one time • Follow verbal and written instruction • An attitude of willingness and enthusiasm • Be highly organized and able to pay attention to sound and sight details in crowded and noisy situations, particularly when handling multiple tasks Qualifications • Knowledge and experience with irrigation strongly encouraged • Operating small and large motorized landscape equipment (including pruning and manicuring tools) • Landscape and groundskeeping maintenance • Ability to work in a variety of extreme outdoor temperatures • Knowledge of proper fertilization products and procedures • Exceptional interpersonal skills, professional image, and excellent communication skills This position description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities or qualifications associated with the position.
