Sweet senior dog seeks loving home

As much as it breaks my heart we are trying to find a suitable home for our dog dexter. We adopted him 3 months ago when we were not working as much and thought we would have plenty of time to give him. He’s 85lbs and so loving but he deserves a home where his people are home more. We had found him a home we thought with an amazing family who had their own dog. Unfortunately dexter has a problem with resource guarding where food is concerned with other dogs present. He did bite their dog though it was not a bad bite. In a separate incident he also bit his new mom when she was trying to move a food dish from both of their access. So for their dogs safety we are taking him back and trying to find the perfect fit for him. He is very loving and dopey. A perpetual puppy with more energy than you would think he’d have. He has to go to a home with absolutely no other animals or small children. He will also probably need some behavioral training. In the 3 months we had him in our home we never had an incident like the above mentioned. But we want to be very careful now that this has happened. If you think you could do right by dexter and provide him with what we can’t that would be amazing. No rehoming fee will apply.
