JOB TITLE: Construction Worker at Conor Construction SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to and works under site supervisor or his/her designee, who assigns duties and reviews work for effectiveness according to established work standards. SUPERVISION EXERCISED: This is a non-supervisory position. Lead work/coordination of the work of others is not a typical function assigned to this position. Incumbents in this position may provide training and orientation to newly assigned personnel. POSITION SUMMARY: This is a part-time, non-exempt, hourly position. The construction worker accomplishes construction tasks as assigned by supervision. Follow direction on job site tasks and accomplish them according to manufacture standard and code. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES The duties listed are intended only as illustrative examples of the various types of work that may be performed by individuals in this job. Any of the following duties may be performed: - Load tools and materials at beginning and end of job sites. - Cabinet installation. - Painting. - Drywall repairs. - Minor electrical repairs. - Minor plumbing repairs. - Framing. - Maintain warehouse organization. - Clean up job sites. - Measuring and cutting materials. - Maintain warehouse organization. COMPANY STANDARDS: - Regular attendance and punctuality is a requirement of this position. - Possess and keep current any licenses or certifications that are required for job. - A professional and courteous manner and an ability to work harmoniously with other employees, clients, and the general public. - Follow company personnel and safety procedures. - Accept and perform other work as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION: - High school diploma or equivalent. LICENSE: - Driver’s license. EXPERIENCE: - A minimum of one-year construction laborer work experience or any combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: - Strong attention to detail. - Ability to follow Cal/OSHA safety protocol. - Ability to work in a team-oriented environment. - Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. - Ability to follow and retain oral and written instructions. - Ability to learn assigned tasks readily and to adhere to prescribed routines. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must pass a standard background investigation; however, a conviction of a crime may not necessarily disqualify an individual from this classification.
