We are looking for an experienced, mature, and reliable part-time staff member to join our team at a high-end equestrian center on Bainbridge Island. Shift responsibilities include stall cleaning, daily turnout, blanket changes, feeding, and general barn chores. Our ideal candidate is looking for a long-term position. If you have horse experience and love being around a barn, we would love to hear from you. Requirements: - Previous experience working in a professional barn setting - Basic horse knowledge and excellent horse handling skills - Reliable transportation is a must - Motivated, hard worker with good communication skills - NO smoking, alcohol, drugs - Background check REQUIRED - Must be 21 y/o and have necessary documentation - Willingness and ability to perform physical work, including lifting 50lbs farm supplies - Commitment to working in an outdoor environment during all types of weather - Must have reliable phone and email access - Must be flexible, reliable, and dependable - Ability to follow directions and communicate clearly - Adhere to farm safety policies, and current COVID-19 regulations Stable hand chores include: - Cleaning stalls and working around horses - Cleaning paddocks (picking up manure and raking) - Cleaning turnout areas (picking up manure, raking, cleaning & sweeping sheds) - Picking up manure in pastures - Cleaning water troughs & mangers - Regular barn chores (sweeping, cleaning, dusting, etc.) - Horse handling (haltering, leading, blanketing etc.) Barn operating hours are 8:00am-6:00pm, and the farm is open 365 days/year. This position will sometimes be required to work designated holidays. Salary: Starting at $16/hr
