Hi Everyone, I am organizing an event in Harlem called Black Girl Magic Day, and I am seeking volunteers with experience in the positions posted below to help me execute my event. Please be advised: This event is open to little girls of all ethnicities between the ages of 2-13 years of age. I really wanted to create an event that showed black little girls that they are loved, valued, respected and visible (we see them). Something that is not often depicted in the media. The following positions are now open for volunteer team members for Black Girl Magic Day-for girls between the ages of 2-13 Years of age: Serious inquires only. Guest Speaker Organizer/Manager • Looks for and research volunteer guest speakers for our event. • Books and schedules volunteer guest speakers for our event. • Responsible for organizing guest speaker’s transportation to and from our event. • Making sure volunteer guest speakers are comfortable at our event • Responsible for creating a guest speaker event Itinerary and issuing to guest speakers. Gift Bag Contribution Organizer/Manager • Responsible for emailing and calling different companies concerning adding product donations to our event gift bags. • Responsible for keeping companies that have donated products up to date on the latest news concerning our event. • Logging all companies and products into our computer system. Event Game Organizer: • Responsible for creating fun and exciting games for girl between the ages of 2 to 13 years of age. Game centered on etiquette (3 charm school activities) and black history Trivia. Volunteer Event Videographer • Responsible for filming the event from the beginning to the end. Volunteer Event DJ • Must have a kid friendly playlist (No profanity). No music degrading women. Volunteers for the day of the event: • Responsible for distributing gift bags at our event, scanning guest speaker’s VIP slips, and issuing guest speakers VIP Badges for their slips. We will provide an iPad to scan slips. Pink Carpet Photo Management: • Responsible for making sure everyone wears their mask while taking photos in front of our backdrop. • Responsible controlling the lines etc. Event Content Writer: • Responsible for writing articles pertaining to our event. Media Manager: • Responsible for handling all media related calls and emails.
