Description
We are hiring a material prep / item finishing person for our hardwood art and jewelry business.
Duties include hand finishing hardwood and hardwood plywood to meet demand for current order production, post-production item cleaning, assembly, organization and assorted associated tasks. Detailed item lacquering, gem setting and assembly of complicated products will also be required as needed. Repetitive tasks are common, but it is easy to switch between them in order to not cause yourself undue strain.
This position does not require past experience in woodworking, jewelry or otherwise, but does require attention to detail, a sharp eye and past employment examples and references.
Bonus points if you're into gemstones and sacred geometry.
You will be working with 2-3 people in a small shop setting in a residential, rural environment.
Part time, 20-30 hours. Flexible hours, and lenient time off policies. There may be some optional take home work in addition to shop hours.
$15/hr after $14/hr training period. Quarterly bonuses depending on performance.
There is opportunity to move up with our company as we grow. If you are smart and able to learn, you may be able to move into laser cutting, design and product creation. There's a lot to learn, but exposure and repetition are easy to come by.
Respond with a resume, references etc. Interviews to be scheduled shortly.
