Photography lighting workshop taught by Jason Hill. Hosted at the Jupiter Next Hotel and brought to you by Sneakerweek!! April 25th 9am-4pm After a successful studio lighting workshop we're moving out into the world!!! In this workshop we will go over mixing strobe lights with available light and artificial lights in an environmental setting. Our amazing partners at The Jupiter Next Hotel have given us special access to the many awesome areas the hotel has to offer: the Arium Ballroom, the Secret Garden, the Bunker Conference room, parts of the lobby, our very own west window facing hotel room, as well as their aesthetically pleasing restaurant partners space, Hey Love. We will meet at 9 am outside of the hotel and spend an hour on the street using strobes and taking street portraits. At 10 am we will move inside the hotel and split into groups and have rotating setups in different areas throughout the day. 4 models will be on site. This is an excellent oppurtunity to build your portfolio while learning how to balance light in different situations. Brought to you by Jason Hill Photography, Sneakerweek 2021 and Cobalt Studios PDX Please read the Jupiter Hotel Covid 19 policies below COVID-19 POLICIES: In accordance with state guidelines and requirements, the Jupiter requires the following rules for a safe event: ● Guests must wear masks in all public spaces; lobby, restrooms, hallways and event space ● Clients must provide the hotel a list of attendees with contact information for tracing purposes ● Guests should follow standard CDC hygiene guidelines, wash hands regularly and use hand sanitizer ● Guests must maintain physical distancing when possible ● Guests must wear masks in event space at all times unless they are seated eating/drinking ● Guests must wear masks when approaching the bar ● Catering food must be prepackaged, plated or have a designated catering staff member available to serve food. Hotel staff cannot serve as catering staff. Self service buffets are not allowed. ● No drinks or food on the dance floor ● AV equipment such as microphones must be sanitized between guest use ● Event photos are permitted without masks as long as the area is clear of hotel guests and staff ● Please advise guests who are not feeling well to stay home ● Please advise your guests of these house rules prior to the event. The behavior of your event attendees is the responsibility of the client. Guest's failure to follow our event guidelines, specifically releated to the wearing of masks indoors, can result in guests being cut-off from bar service, asked to leave and ultimately can result in your event ending early if the problem persists.
