Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The job duties of a general laborer vary. Job duties may include packaging, sorting, inspecting product, light assembly, palletizing, and loading or unloading materials to and from trailers. All employees must perform duties following all safety rules and wearing required PPE : - Work in conveyor belt machines packaging products into boxes, bags, and/or containers. - Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking. - Inspect quality of product. Check and/or count products for accuracy and/or damage and infestation. - Assemble displays. - Fill and replenish bins with products. - Palletize product. - Move product to storage areas with proper equipment in preparation for shipping. - Clean working area before/after shift and during down time. - Efficiently stack and store the merchandise in the appropriate area. - Conduct operations in a manner which promotes safety & Comply with OSHA standards. - Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse. - Report all malfunctions on equipment. - Perform other duties as assigned. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job. - Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. - Be able to work with inside controlled temperature rooms up to 40 F. - Ability to stand for the duration of the shift 8-12 hours. - Ability to work overtime & weekends in order to complete work or to attend meetings Minimum Requirements - Ability to work independently and with a team. - Must be able to work a varied schedule including weekends. - Ability to pay close attention to details, meet deadlines, and work with difficult individuals or task assignments.
