My dog, Roxy and I are very close, and I feel I am left with the reality that the best thing for everyone, including Roxy, is to find her a new home. This is not an emergency, but we need to find a new home for our 5-year-old French Bulldog prior to May 1st. Roxy is a 5-year-old, French bulldog. She is spayed and in excellent health and has no special dietary needs. Roxy is a great dog and well loved. When I got Roxy, she was 6 months old. The breeder told us that she had an issue in her first home fighting with the 2-3 other dogs in the family. As we had no other pets, and her first home had many dogs I figured it was just too many dogs in the household. As we had no other dogs, or pets, this did not concern us. Roxy gets along great with people from kids to older people. I’ve no idea about cats as we don’t have a cat. Roxy does have problems getting along with other dogs. I was married last year, and my wife has a dog as well. We had hoped that the dogs would enjoy each other’s company and MOST of the time, they do. When there is food involved or my wife and kids and I are all together, Roxy gets jealous, competitive or possessive in that she acts out towards the other dog. She can get quite fierce. We assumed that the two dogs would eventually get the dominance thing situated and things would settle down. Unfortunately, that did not happen. Most of the time the dogs get along great. Roxy gets along famously with people and is very popular. The dogs occasionally fight, not a lot but when they do, Roxy gets very aggressive. Roxy is young and a very healthy, attractive and popular breed. Our other dog is elderly and would not be likely to find a home so we feel the need to find a home for Roxy with someone that will be able to spend time with her and does not have other dogs. I believe that the breeder was right when she said Roxy should be in a one pet household. My ex-wife got Roxy from the president of the NW Frenchie association. I don’t know who it was as I was not involved in getting Roxy. I did not get the paperwork when my ex and I divorced. Roxy was most attached to me, so Roxy and I have been together for a long time.
